“Coconut Fat is Special” according to The Coconut Collaborative and I can confirm from the bottom of my heart, this yogurt is divine!
I must be honest, I have never really been a yogurt person because I didn’t really see the point. If I was hungry, I’d much rather go for nuts, or crisps (specifically plantain chips – I’ll be sharing soon don’t worry ) but yogurt didn’t really come to mind. Also, I’ve tasted some dairy free yogurts in the past and they were really bad. I think that kind of scarred me – just a tad.
Then last year at the Allergy Free From Show – btw if you’ve never been, you should definitely look out for it next year, I stumbled upon the brand.
First impressions, of course, packaging. I love the colours and the size because it can fit into my bag and its the perfect size for a mid-afternoon snack.
But it gets better, the taste is absolutely lovely. Very creamy and not too sweet. I’ve tasted quite a few of the other flavours but the mango and passionfruit is definitely my favourite.
In terms of price, they’re not cheap but definitely not at the pricier end of the scale. One thing I will say is, you tend to find coconut collaborative products in most stores such as Tesco, Sainsbury’s etc which makes it accessible. I work in the city and I’m usually able to find at least one if not more of the flavours. This puts a smile on my face.
Free from dairy, gluten & soy -it’s a yes from me 🙂
